Two professors and their assistant, researching for an upcoming class trip, venture into the forest to find the site of an ancient ruin. Drawn deeper into the greenery by a strange song, their sanity deteriorates as language, time and place begin to unravel, ever more chaotic as they approach their destination. 'The Tower' is an unsettling, often surreal exploration of language, its collapse, and the mysteries of the forest.
