Miguel lives a sad, empty existence. His family relationships are cold and lacking any passion or love. One night, while walking around town, he meets a mysterious woman named Giulia. As they talk, she makes him feel alive... Giulia is a bizarre young woman who finds comfort in strangers, in person and in her photographs of them. As the night unfolds, she becomes attracted to Miguel and longs for his love. When he refuses her advances, she becomes angry and leaves. Several hours later, she returns with a prostitute, Rose. Giulia's mood has changed - she's more playful, sarcastic and provocative. The three of them spend hours talking and drinking, forgetting their individual loneliness. They realize how similar they all are, despite their vastly different lives - each longing for love in their own way.
