A Poetic retelling of the flooding of The Redding Pit in Central Scotland, 1923, where 40 miners lost their lives. The film recounts the story from a female view-point and describes how the mothers and wives of the community deal with the agonizing wait of news of the rescue above ground. The picture is the first to be written and narrated in the Broad Scots language.
