When the Grove family is evicted from their big mansion in upper class America, they move into a older more rundown house at the poor end of town. However, the family is oblivious to the fact that a vengeful spirit haunts this house. After strange events occur the family makes plans to leave. However, Mrs Grove is brutally murdered and her husband, Mr Grove, is framed for it. Jessica Grove, however, feels there is more to it and begins an investigation of her own which will lead her on a path of horror she never expected when she comes face to face with the merciless spirit of Mary.
