Stray Dogs of Talad Noi

Over a 5 year period, Gerard Holthuis filmed the people around the River View Guesthouse in the area of Talad Noi, Bangkok. Kai, a single mother of four, works around the clock at the River View Guest House. She makes ends meet by collecting junk for recycling. Aa, a handy-man at the hostel, spends his spare time assisting a Monk collecting alms. They share an affection for stray dogs and cats of the neighborhood, which they feed by collecting leftover food, in a way not un-similar to how they provide for themselves, living off charitable gifts.
