'Looking Out' is the well-crafted story of a man on the edge. Peter Hardy returns to his childhood home, which is situated on a beautiful bluff overlooking Long Island's Oyster Bay. Feeling rootless and convinced he is suffering from a brain tumor, Peter decides to do the only rational thing left; build a tree house in the back yard in order to better appreciate the view. His plans are stifled by his lack of any carpentry skill, incessant drinking and family members who drop by to dredge up the past. Beautifully shot, with a mesmerizing score and a script that allows room for truly inspired performances, this is a gem not to be missed.
