Sicily, 1992. Damiano, a nine years old boy, lives through his alert eyes the mafia's massacres and attacks of those years. The father's difficulties in finding work, the killing of his teacher, mentor and friend, but also daring reporter killed by the mafia and the tragic assassination of judge Giovanni Falcone make Damiano refuge in dreams, the only ray of hope to escape from the bleak reality in which he lives.
