Fifteen year old Grace lives with her little sister Abbi and her mentally ill mother. Having recently spent six months in a care home, Grace has vowed that she and Abbi will never go into care again. Now settled back into school and balancing being a teenager, sister, and mother to her own mother, Grace returns home from school one day to find Mum has relapsed and smashed up the kitchen - Grace finds herself desperately struggling to keep her family together under mounting pressures as the authorities close in.
