Sofía doesn't understand what she is, sexually speaking. When her dad looks for help from a catholic priest thinking his daughter is sick, the priest introduces her María, a religious girl about her very same age and is starting to develop lesbian feelings towards Sofía. Both girls feel the social pressure to abandon such behavior, but that would mean to betray their own feelings.
