A subversive remake of the iconic pseudo-documentary Nanook of the North: A story of Life and Love in the Actual Arctic by Robert Flaherty. This ten minute film is a pastiche of scenes from the original 1922 release that have been collaged with contemporary re-creations that are backed by the original musical score. Inspired by the actions of Nanook, this feminist reenactment of Nanook's adventures to secure food in the Arctic, was motivated by a desire to tell a parallel story of the adventure of one women in a contemporary context.
