Lise is a young girl caught between her own heroin abuse and her dominant boyfriend's abuse of her. She tries to maintain the facade by fleeing into her own dreams, to a ballroom where she is the star. But not even the most elegant steps can conceal the fact that her life unravels slowly at the seams.
