During the turn of the nineteenth century, in a tiny town nestled somewhere in the Netherlands, a husband and wife had traded their souls to a demon in exchange for a recipe that would teach them how to make the most delicious chocolate in the world. However, the demon tricked them and delivered a young child to their doorstep the next day. This was no ordinary baby though, for it was made of pure chocolate. Upon receiving this odd package, the guardians soon learned that if they took proper care of the young girl then she would grow beautiful, strong, and provide them with sweet chocolate that would provide for them all. However, the guardians did not treat her kind, and so begins the tale of Persephone's hard, tortured life.
