An immigrant from Mexico, Tomas, disconnected from his homeland for nearly 10 years, returns home after the alleged death of his younger sister. Tormented by a reoccurring vision of her, alive, and fixated on finding the lake at which he believes her to be, Tomas sets out to uncover the truth about his sister's mysterious disappearance, and about the ominous lake that plagues his dreams.
