1666 a woman accused of witchcraft is being chased by a man in a black robe known as the Dark Guard. Before he catches her she manages to hide an enchanted box in the bushes and upon it lays a curse. Modern day. A jogger on his morning run picks up strange noises on his mp3 player. Removing the earphones he traces the source to some nearby bushes where he unearths a mysterious old box. He takes the box home and tries to open it unaware that he is already targeted by the curse. That night he is awoken by loud noises downstairs. Petrified but desperately curious he gets up to explore only to fall victim to the curse at the hands of the Dark Guard.
