At 28 years old, when filmmaker Stephane Bergmans returns to live with his parents afte breaking up with his girlfriend, he doesn't find the confined home be left 10 years earlier. He discovers how distant he grew from his genitors and how less he seems to have in common with them. Instinctively he bergins to film them and tries to find an anwser to the strange question that cam up to him : 'Does growing old means growing distant?'.
