'In the Domain' presents a series of encounters with the flora and fauna of the thickly wooded Dysart et Al highlands region of Ontario, Canada. Consisting of four movements, the film is a impressionistic picture of four aspects of being a living thing in these woodlands. The film is not the usual kind of nature film: it was shot with a handheld camera, and shows the kind of experience a solitary walker would have in the reverie and intoxication induced by the forest's forms of life and death.
