After a failed American uprising, Robert - a prominent member of the insurgency- goes into hiding somewhere deep within the Boreal Forest with his newborn son, Tom. 14 years later, when Robert falls ill, Tom must attempt to nurse his father back to health while struggling to carry out the many crucial tasks which have tumbled down onto his shoulders.
