Woken by the banging above him, a screenwriter prepares for a huge script sale, only to get stuck in an elevator, find his bike broken, miss his train, get locked out of the film building, and finally when hope appears, it is crushed as an ex from 18 years earlier meets up and tells him he has a son, who has been living above him the whole time.
