Small World

Everett approaches Katie as she is reading a book in a café and attempts to strike up a conversation. Despite initially having some trouble holding her attention, he discovers that she is both inquisitive and incisive. Before long, in lieu of his intended small talk, he has been roped into telling the unbelievable story of how he lost his wife and the lengths to which he has gone to try to get her back. An incredulous Katie is not sure how to respond - he can't be telling the truth, but he doesn't seem to be joking. She delicately tries to offer some advice and a much needed reality check, only to find that Everett's intentions in approaching her were not quite as simple as they had seemed.
