For Eugene and Galina, life in their West Hollywood apartment is pretty routine: chess and dozing on the couch for Eugene; cooking and reading gossip for Galina. One night, they are awoken by a strange sound. While Eugene soon realizes it could be the ecstatic moanings of a neighbor, Galina is concerned for the woman's safety. In an effort to find out who is making the noise, and what exactly she is doing, the couple turns to spying. Their curiosity and exploration leads them to new discoveries about life and their relationship and leaves them with a renewed love for each other and appreciation for the world around them.
