Having recently graduated college, Toby, a young West Virginian man, takes a job at a local newspaper. The world, it seems these days, is always on the brink of disaster, but Toby remains hopeful until both the American dollar and economy collapse. A new world, authoritarian system is created out of a world-wide 'state of emergency.' Toby sees hell fall upon his small town and decides to publish stories in the paper about what's really going on. After doing so, he finds himself in hot water with government officials and is on the run until a local 'Patriot group' saves his life.
