Abby Smith plans to surprise her boyfriend of the past six months. It is the anniversary of their first date and she intends to fake illness so that she can later turn up at his home unannounced and the two can have a romantic evening all to themselves. It is Abby who is in for a big surprise though, as that evening she catches her boyfriend in an embrace with another woman. Devastated, Abby sets off to walk to her best friend's house to get some much needed comfort and support. However bad Abby's day has been so far, it is about to turn into 'A Very Bad Night' as she finds it is not always advisable for a young woman to walk alone in the dark.
