Young Max and his nanny, Jenny, go door to door as Max tries to sell one more magazine subscription to win a school prize. But they end up trapped in a spooky old mansion where its owner, the eccentric scientist Dr. Valerian, has inadvertently opened up a portal to another dimension. And now, the only prize is staying alive.
