Return to Elwha

On the rugged Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, there is a river that salmon once called home. Return to Elwha follows an expedition source-to-sea down the Elwha River - where two hydroelectric dams have blocked salmon from migrating upstream for nearly a century. The dam removal is the largest in US history, and a crew of brothers and friends, fishermen and paddlers set out to experience the wilderness of the Olympic Mountains as the dams were coming down. Led by Jason Jaacks, a National Geographic Explorer, their journey down the Elwha river was sparked by single question: will the salmon return home?
