The Belle Époque era, in an absinthe bar. The beautiful starlet Bessie Love (Anna von Auersperg) storms into the bar. She would do anything to get a role and points a gun at Herbert Blaché (Fabian Joest), the powerful film producer who is about to gamble away the budget for his next film.
