The Godfathers of Time

The Godfathers of Time might be called a strange love child of an essay film and an observational documentary, a work of rhapsodic non-fiction or a journalistic dispatch from a lucid dream. It is an unconventional documentary film about three historic clock towers in western Washington - inside the courthouse in Montesano, on the Evergreen State College campus in Olympia, and in the King Street Station in Seattle. Our tour guides are the stewards of these clocks - the men who hold the keys to the rooms where time itself is kept. But all is not as it seems, because a different kind of time can be seen passing through the cracks of these architectural wonders.
