David, a young man coming home from college, is surprised to learn that his father and stepmother have invited an underprivileged guest to join them for Thanksgiving dinner. However, when the guest shows up with her friend, David's father finds the the uninvited woman undesirable, leading to a tense and uncomfortable dinner.
