The story follows Michael and Rachael, two characters suffering from separate life altering changes and how they deal with deep, self-inflicted emotional pain that comes thereafter. How they pursue their lives in the dark of day, while allowing themselves missed opportunities for happiness only feet away. By not liberating themselves from their attachment to the past, they create an a torturous hell that can be destroyed if they would only change.
