Two neighborly couples attend a barbecue and withhold their more tension-charged words through much discomfort. This film gives an eerie commentary on methods of communication while subtly asking the question: 'what truth are we prepared to deal with?' During the two conversations we witness, we are exposed to the dissonance between what is said and what is felt, while also commenting on American gender roles.
