A man, James, suffering from a crippling fear of the dark, is put to the test when someone breaks into his home, cutting off the power. As his wife and child are held in the hands of the intruder, James shrinks into the only remaining sliver of light beaming in through their bedroom window. It is up to him to battle his own fears and either plunge himself into the very darkness that tortures him to save his family, or once more let his fear overcome him.
