Joanne, is a young poor pregnant woman. Not sure what she should do because money is tight, Joanne goes in for a usual check up with her doctor. Upon her visit her doctor informs her that a rare heart defect. Not sure if she wants a child at all, she contemplates an abortion which is scheduled to take place in the next seven days. Meanwhile, Joanne's unborn child imagines his hypothetical life, through childhood, college, marriage and finally, old age.
