Days after the storm, New Covenant Community Church, (now Fusion Church) a small local church located in Somers Point, New Jersey made the decision to do as much as they could to be the hand and feet and heart of Jesus Christ. With a small congregation, a brand new pastor and limited recourses, the church became a base camp in the community to connect the community with first responders. Partnering with organizations such as DRADT, Hope Force International, Crisis Response International, Cross Point Church [Nashville], Gateway Church [Fort Worth, Texas] and Joyce Meyer Ministries the church provided immediate relief and resources to local residents.
