The video was born out of the want to display the reality in which I've been living for a few months. The 'everyday life' scenes try to tell the story of Bushwick, a prominently hispanic neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. I wanted to highlight normal situations and chose to make it revolve around a hypothetical ice cream truck and the communication between the locals. As I often do in my videos, I try to add a surprise element to the story, in this case it's a girl named Florencia. The final result is a suspended reality in which mise-en-scene and daily life blend together, giving invented and real information to the viewer.
