Jesse, a 14-year old loner, has grown unresponsive and distant. His parents Lori and Dennis are too busy with their own personal conflicts to notice. When Dennis comes home from work to the un-mowed lawn, he storms to Jesse's room to discover a box containing proof of their parental failings and a sinister secret about the son they think they know.
