A Show of Hands is about two high-school best friends who share a single obsession - hip-hop - and it follows them as they prepare for their first rap battle competition. Both of these students also happen to be deaf, and do all of their rapping in sign language. Almost all of the actors are students at California School for the Deaf, Riverside.
