Set in an alternative 1950's in which nuclear fallout has destroyed human civilization as we know it, a weathered couple struggles to maintain a sense of normality by holding to the traditions of the past. However, in this savage post-apocalyptic landscape, society-dictated expectations for gender, family, and the individual find themselves supplanted by the everyday struggle to survive.
