Vallathol - Lokame Tharavadu

Documentary about the life and times of Mahakavi Vallathol Narayana Menon who was Poet Laureate of India. The film covers his life from birth in 1878 to his death in 1958. He was responsible in establishing the Kerala Kalamandalam, which taught Kathakali and other dance forms. He was also involved with Gandhi and Nehru and other Congress leaders in the Indian independence struggle. Despite being profoundly deaf he traveled to places like Russia and Paris and gave readings of his poems.
