This two-part mini-series docudrama depicted King Henry VIII of England and his 'second' wife, Anne Boleyn. As usual, the casting director went for a typical 'made-for-tv', throw historical accuracy out the window, and cast actors who looked more at home on a soap opera set. The most that can be said about the guy cast as Henry was that he had red hair and was sort of tall, but he was skinny, a real ectomorph! By the time Henry was seeing Anne, esp. close to their wedding in 1536 (Henry was by that time 42), the king was really starting to put on the weight. There Is preserved in a museum his last full set of jousting armour, made for him during this period...he was 6 foot 4 with a 52 inch chest! That is huge. The women's hat designer for this was all wrong, or just took too many liberties with the dedigns aswell...there are plenty of paintings which show exactly show what the two types of hoods - the French ones and the very angular English ones look like. Some in the series had huge curls almost like the Flying Nun. The history as presented seemed to have a bit of a Catholic bias to it.
