Inspired by Ernest Hemingway's 'The Sun Also Rises', as well as the real life events surrounding the novel's publication, Writer/director Christopher Lorello set out on a mission to intertwine history with fiction and the reality unfolding around him. 'A Feast in the Night' is the story about a beautiful woman in the midst of a break up, whom is the center of many men's attention. She is independent and a danger to any man who believes her to be considered relationship material, for she is bound to let him down. As two of the men realize she is not worth the hassle, keeping their emotions at bay, one finds himself obsessed, penning a manuscript about his affections for the woman. When his publisher asks for a novel, the man, insecure and fearing his in capability to finish the story, sinking in alcohol, reveals all about his experiences with the woman. Fast forward a few months, and we discover he had a wife who has read his book, and realizing he had an affair with her. She leaves him on the spot, expressing her firm belief that the woman never loved any of the men. The film is unique in the sense that there was no script, only motifs and themes acted out through improvisational scenes. The soundtrack is also original music written and recorded by the filmmaker, Christopher Lorello.
