Putting his faith in chance, a troubled young man attempts to hold an eccentric store owner hostage, while robbing him of his scratch-off lottery tickets. What follows will call the young man's life, choices, and very understanding of reality into question. Will he find enlightenment within a pile of cards, or will it all be for nothing? All he can do...is scratch.
