The protagonist of the film is a middle-aged man who, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in almost total solitude, takes care of his ailing mother. Closed in the circle of simple, everyday activities, cut off from his family and life he led so far, he fills slowly the reality of the old woman whom he loves with endless love. What hurts him most is passivity of his relatives, the fact that their memory of the elderly, ailing woman is limited to objects and holiday postcards.
