'Twins and Pies' is a fictionalized documentary analyzing the influences of Russian-Soviet culture on the philosophy of a popular Russian-born American writer, Ayn Rand. Despite Rand's strong pro-capitalist convictions, there are many links that connect her philosophy to the theories of Russian revolutionary ideologists. The film explores some of these connections by imagining the figure of Ayn Rand's twin, Emilia, who remained in the USSR and became a writer of moral stories for young Soviet children.
