New Ventry: The Movie

1985: With a previously-unseen level of hype surrounding a horrifying new disease, terror was fanned and fueled around the globe and within our collective consciousness. In the midst of these trouble times, the members of New Ventry, a small wealthy enclave, find themselves being consumed by an evil long buried but now reawakened to the intoxicating scents of fear, unhappiness and new blood. Based on a novel written by critically-acclaimed Toronto writer, David Munroe, New Ventry thoughtfully explores social issues which are as relevant today (if not more so) as they were in the 1980s: income inequality, widespread heroin use, terror, hate...and even now, AIDs.
