The Swede (Carina Westling) has returned to the Swedish countryside from her new found home, in England. Here, while hitchhiking in Roslagen, she is picked up by an older lady [Gunnel Lindblom] . The Swede finds this an irresistible opportunity to rage about England. About their political system, hygiene, habits, and general lack of comprehensible structure. The lady, however, remains firmly attached to her mobile phone, trying hard to get hold of somebody, The angry Swede seems not to care, and neither, it would seem, does her elderly driver, but who is she calling? and why can't she get through? Gunnel Lindblom has starred in most of Ingmar Bergmans major works including, The Seventh Seal (1956)Wild Strawberries (1957] and The Girl with the Dragon tattoo. Carina Westling plays herself.
