'Crossing Paths: The Story of Dori' is an epistolary animation. In 1967, Dori, a teenager from North Carolina, leaves a note to her mother and stepfather. From this handwritten note emerges the figure of the VW bus in which she and her boyfriend set out for San Francisco. Along the way, Dori passes people from diverse times and places, all themselves cut from newspapers and other documents. The story is told without spoken words, but with an original musical score by Jeremy Mage. 'The Story of Dori' is one of the many stories that make up 'Crossing Paths,' a four-channel video now on view in Seattle at e4c, the electronic gallery of 4Culture.
