ROHAN (30, Indian, medium-built) is the de facto man of the house in a single parent immigrant family. His mother, JUHI, is in the final stages of a rapidly advancing cancer; her dedicated caretaker is Rohan's younger sister, ISHA. Rohan, confronted by Isha, refuses to stay with his family despite his sister's fear of Juhi's impending death. Rohan escapes to work at the haulage yard where he is a driver/porter. Rohan's suppressed emotions aggravate an already fractious relationship with the Foreman.
