Based on the folk song, 'Polly Vaughn.' A man mistakenly shoots his true love while hunting for birds in the winter woods and he falls grieving into the snow. As night falls and he begins to freeze, her comforting ghost appears to him in a drift of snow, but leaves him haunted as the sun comes up and melts the ice.
