It is estimated that 11 million undocumented immigrants currently inhabit the United States; 1100 of them are deported each day. Being an undocumented immigrant in the U.S. is therefore a life of insecurity and constant fear of getting deported. This film tells the story of an undocumented immigrant and a student organization in Austin fighting for immigrants rights. Annie Athar has lived in the U.S. for 20 years since he came form Pakistan with her parents as a two-year old struggling to survive cancer. At first they were considered legal immigrants, but with 9/11, their status changed. ULI fight for awareness around the situation of undocumented immigrants, and for their rights; but racism at university and lack of willingness at Congress makes it a constant struggle.
