Abruzzo (Italy), 1950. Nenne is an eight year old child that lives with her mother in a small village surrounded by mountains. Nenne is fascinated by the story of Baull, an ogre of Abruzzo's ancient fairy tales, that hides in the old abandoned houses in the countryside around the village.
