One Christmas Day, a young man, born without thumbs, sits at the family dinner table with his loving parents. Suddenly, his mother drops dead of a heart attack. Several years later, the devil has moved into their family home (literally) and the father has begun to resent his son. When he runs away, he meets a one-legged girl and learns a new way to win back his father's affections.
